Don’t like a holiday — just don’t celebrate it!

Sounds too easy, but it really is that simple.

For example, when I was single, I scheduled a trip every New Year’s Eve because I don’t like to stay up late and drink, and I especially don’t like to be reminded at midnight that I’m starting the new year alone!

Some of my favorites were going to Cuba with friends and driving to Joshua Tree alone and indulging myself!

Love the holiday, just hate how it’s celebrated?

Remember what you loved about the holiday as a child –

– then make the day about your passion AND doing something to feel good about yourself.

(Coaching note — volunteering is the simplest and cheapest self-esteem booster!)

For example, LOVE Valentine’s Day AND sports?

Host a Valentine’s Day poker party to raise money for your sports team’s favorite charity!
